INTERIOR DESIGN

This is the redesign that I came up with for the first floor of Webb Hall at UWA. In my opinion, this space is in desperate need of a reception desk so students, parents, or visitors who are unfamiliar with the building can locate the exact person or office they are looking for.

This is a 20×20 design that I created in a design studio class. You can see the entire process from sketches on graph paper to the color and texture finish. I took elements from modern homes to create a look that was “trending” but I still wanted to incorporate the homey feel in this model.

The floorplans above are two different layouts I created for a remodel of a professor’s home in Livingston. This particular room in her home is very open, and she did not know where to place her furniture without the pieces looking “scattered” or “junky”.

Both floorplans offer plenty of seating for guests and still bring in that open concept living space. As you can see, I have placed the main couches in the living room in an “L” shape to give the space room to breathe, also allowing the area to feel more closed off for guests.
